Slot Expander - Produce or not?
Hello Tecnobytes!
As the Slot Expander project is too much expensive to be produced, we need a minimum quantity of sales to be viable.
Remember:
- Two boards must to be designed and produced;
- The cabinet must to be designed and produced (very expensive!!!!);
This two main things, turn the project expensive to be produced.
So lets see what´s will happen!
This is the thermometer to know, produce or not?

MSX Slot Expander - news
Hello Tecnobyters!
The MSX Slot Expander prototype was ready and working very good!
Let´s talk more about it.
Specs:
- 4 Expanded slots that can fit even large cartridges;
- 60 cm buffered flat cable;
- Exclusive plastic cabinet (in development);
- 5V External power supply (included);
- You can easely disable a slot (you don't have to remove the cartridge). Each slot have one key and one information LED; *
- "DC IN" Status LED: The main board and the cartridges are protected against incorrect voltage (low or high), any problem with the power suply, even if you forgot to conect one :-). The DC IN Status Led will blink in any of these cases;
- High quality board (as always);

The V9990 Powergraph Rev.2 cartridge comes with a VGA 15khz compatible output. What is mean? Now all pins on RGB conector of the cartridge are compatibles with VGA definitions, including the optional 5V in PIN 9!

After some personal problems, we are back working hard to test all capabilities of TECNOWARP. We are having instability with some machines, mainly in Brazilians Apple II clones. Let's see if we can finish this in the next few weeks...

NEW PRODUCT TECNOBYTES
After improve the sound and image, with the OPL4 Shockwave and V9990 Powergraph cartridges, now is time to improve the math capabilities of our lovely MSX machine.
As many of you may know, the Z80 CPU is not famous by your math calculations power. Thinking about it, in the end of last year, we developed a new hardware for MSX computers:

Yes we know! Without software, the hardware isn't usefull. This is the reason because the new cartridge isn't for sale yet.
We are working together with the Oldbits Studio team to develop the library that will be used with the MSX-FPU cartridge.
Do you already imagined the "Angry Bird" physics, real time calculated, in your MSX? So... you can start to imagine it now!

V9990 Powergraph Adapter, what is it?
The cartridge V9990 Powergraph has 3 outputs: Composite Vídeo, Super Video and RGB.
The RGB output has a pinout that is incompatible with the VGA pinout. The adapter will make the RGB output compatible with VGA pinout.
What is the advantage?
a) If you have a TV or a monitor that can handle with 15Khz horizontal frequency, you can use an regular VGA cable to connect your Powergraph.
b) If you have a TV with SCART input, you can use a VGA x SCART cable.
c) The RGB output has the best image compared with the others two.
The adapter will cost USD 16,05 (paypal fees included)

V9990 POWERGRAPH NEWS
As you know, there are two V9990 Powergraph batches on the way, the first with 38 cartridges (and already closed) and another one that will have 30 cartridges and still running.
We need to remember you that we take in count the payment order. In the last time that we saw the list, 21 cartridges already been sold. So, if you didn't pay, is better hurry! And if you want one of this babies, you have chance yet!
Some people are asking about cables. The V9990 Powergraph don't come with cables, but, we are thinking to make some adapters for sell. We will provide the DB15 pinout, so anyone can do your own adapter or cable.
The boards are in production and the prediction is that in 10 to 15 days we will put our hands on to start the assembly.

OPL4 Shockwave batch 1 is closed. If you still interested in a new batch, please let us know. In the moment, no prediction for a new batch. Final list here!
V9990 Powergraph batch 1 was a success! You can see the final list here! Batch 2 still running. Only 30 units will be available in this batch and we will consider the firsts 30 confirmed payments. More details of this second batch here!
Back to the Apple II line, we had a problem in the Tecnowarp card production. This caused a delay in all other (new) projects. But now, a new card (rev3) is on the oven. The prediction is that the new batch start to be dispatched in the end of this month (maybe early). So, stay tuned on the Reserve List, that still runing! Follow here!

TECNOWARP RESERVE LIST - Batch 1 - Last units!
